Talk about a rough stretch in history . . .

I blame Dukakis. Put the smack down in '79 on wasted youth and finished the job in '85 by killing nickel beer nights.

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel my friends. The $1 drafts are back!! Two local spots are proudly serving the finest draft beers for a buck. The Jackson Square Tavern offers Bud Light and the Main Street Grill (linkee) is all about the Coors Lights. If only another Weymouth bar would step up and offer some $1 Boggs but alas . . . So thumb your nose at any beer snob who says life is too short to drink cheap beer and join me for a taste of life before 1985. First one is on me!*
